OXFORD FOOTBALL CLUB

The OFC Board of Directors would like to share an important update regarding leadership within the club.

Our Club Director, Wes Roberts, will be stepping away at the end of May to pursue new personal and family opportunities. We are incredibly grateful for Wes’ leadership and the impact he has had on the Oxford soccer community, and we wish him continued success moving forward. Wes’ departure marks an important transition, but it also opens the door for OFC to evolve and strengthen. We are committed to building a structure that supports every player—across all ages, levels, and aspirations—while positioning our club for long-term success in a rapidly changing youth soccer landscape.

As we move into this next chapter, we want to reassure all OFC families that the club is in a strong and stable position. Our focus remains unchanged: providing a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment for every player.

To ensure continuity and continued growth, we are implementing the following leadership structure, effective immediately:

Leadership Updates

● Domenic “Dom” Martelli – Club Director General Manager and Recruiting Director for Ole Miss Women’s Soccer, will join Oxford Football Club as Club Director, helping lead the club through this transition while establishing a strong foundation for continued growth. With more than 30 years of experience across collegiate, club, and Olympic Development Program levels, Dom brings valuable insight, leadership, and connections that will strengthen our player pathways and overall club structure.

● Andre Simmond – Club Technical Director Andre brings a well-rounded background in playing, coaching, and player development, along with experience across youth, collegiate, and pre-professional environments. He is completing his Ph.D. in Health and Kinesiology with a focus in Sport Management, and his work centers on long-term athlete development and performance pathways.

● The OFC Board of Directors The Board will continue to work closely with Dom and Andre in order to help make the best decisions possible for our club and its stakeholders.

Next Steps

We will be engaging closely with parents, coaches, and community partners as we continue to strengthen our club. Dom and Andre’s combined experience and networks will play a key role in shaping this process. In the immediate term, families can expect the following:

● Town Hall Meetings Andre and Dom will introduce themselves to a larger audience, share their vision for OFC, and answer parent questions.

  • Parents of 2016s and below: NEXT WEEK, specific date and time to come.
  • Parents of 2015s and above: NEXT WEEK, specific date and time to come.

● Age Group Meetings and Conversations Andre and Dom will speak with parents and stakeholders who have questions.

● 2026–27 Tryouts Tryouts will proceed as scheduled. Additional details, including coaching assignments, will be shared as they are finalized.

We know that transitions can create uncertainty, especially during a busy time of year. Our commitment is to maintain stability, transparency, and a clear focus on what matters most—providing the best possible soccer experience for every OFC player. Thank you for your patience, trust, and partnership as we take this important step forward together. If you have questions or suggestions, please reach out.

Sincerely,
